PURCHASING POWER BONUS 2021

The exceptional purchasing power premium (so called "Pepa") is renewed in 2021 by the amending finance law for 2021.

The main changes compared to the system applicable in 2020 are:

• Payment dates (June 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022);

• The two additional situations allowing the exemption limit to be increased to € 2,000:

  • if the company has less than 50 employees

  • in the event that the company (or the branch) undertakes to promote the professions of "second line" employees;

• The elimination of the criteria for modulating the amount of the bonus according to working conditions linked to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The payment of the premium remains an option for the employer and not an obligation. The DSS comments on the device in an instruction published in the "Bulletin officiel de la sécurité sociale".
